Nail polish

Nail polish is something that girls put on their nails, if you didn't know, but yes they contain a lot of chemicals that make some of them chip ressitant, even though they chip anyway. (false advertising anybody?) But yes clear coats are made of nitrocellulose, which give them that beautiful shine when you use it as a top coat.

There's chemistry around you at every turn. No matter where you look there will be some type of chemistry that is occurring. Whether theres a car on the street or the device you are using to read this thing, it all boils down to chemistry. All the plants and everything that is seen all has chemicals in it. To the toothbrush you use to the pants you put on to the nail polish you use everything is chemistry.

When you bake cookies, or pie you just mix the ingredients and put the product n the oven. Do you ever wonder how that batter turns into something solid that you can hold in your hand? Well that all belongs to chemistry. Thanks to Anessa's post I learned the perfect proportion of things can cause a chemical reaction to occur and the mixing of certain things to your batter can make the end result a little better. This relates to chemistry because with out it we cannot do anything that involves baking and/or cooking.

Brushing teeth is fun!!!

Teeth Brushing is a common practice among the humans of this earth (and maybe even beyond ya never know). Justine explained the components of tooth paste.“hydrates silica, calcium carbonate, aluminum oxides, and various phosphates of calcium or aluminum”. These things are used for many different puposes as well like chalk and sand. (yummy!) But ya Brush yo teeth.

Salt is cool

Salt is cool like Annessa!!!( Love ya girl :) ) we put it on our food and we put it on our food and so on. Sometimes we add too much and we just like  ya just like that. But food is not the only thing we use salt we use it to melt ice as well. The ice used is made of sodium chloride like table salt but chemicals are added to it as well. When an something not known is being added to water it causes the water to melt such as salt and it is called Freezing Point Depression. So ya cool.

bubble gum!!!!

Buble gum is great! It was originally chemists made up ofsap of a tree called chicle but now chemists learned to make gum using synthetic rubber. Of course there is also Flavors and colors added to it. But this relates to chemistry because chemists made it up.

Makeup is fab

Make up is usually used to protect in some cases, cover up in others, and just to play around in some cases. But did you know that makeup has very harsh chemicals according to Sarah  http://avogadrosalad.wordpress.com/page/2/. She is great. Anyway ya so they have to like remove the bins of makeup because they damage the bins. Honestly this is why i rarely wear makeup. Maybe i can create a really good safe brand of makeupin the future HHMMMMM.....anyway moral of the story be careful of what you clump on your face everyday. :)
